Mom Dates and Play Dates was founded by Nicole Kaplan for moms who are looking for more than just another Facebook group — we’re building real friendships, one playdate at a time.
We’re a community of moms across Palm Beach, Broward, and Miami-Dade Counties who believe motherhood is better when shared. Whether you’re expecting your first baby or chasing toddlers around the park, you’ll find support, laughter, and connection here.
Our group is all about showing up, being yourself, and finding your people. No pressure, no judgment — just genuine moms coming together to make memories, swap stories, and lift each other up through every stage of the journey.

Playdates
From park picnics to sensory play and splash pad mornings, our playdates are designed to help your little ones explore and have fun while you connect with other moms nearby. We are always considering innovative ideas for playdates, so if you have any, please contact us!
Mom Meetups & Nights Out
Whether it’s a cozy coffee morning, a brunch date, or a fun moms’ night out — these gatherings are all about friendship, laughter, and a little “you” time. Come as you are and leave feeling refreshed. Because moms deserve fun too!
Mom University
Mom University is a free monthly event where moms learn from trusted professionals. From sleep consultants and speech pathologists to financial advisors and wellness experts, each session is designed to support moms in real life.

We celebrate the seasons and go beyond them with special events created just for our community. From themed gatherings and family days to exclusive experiences and carefully curated programming, each event is designed to feel unique, intentional, and memorable.

Meet the CEO & Founder
I’m Nicole, the CEO and Founder of Mom Dates & Play Dates and the host of the Life’s a Mom podcast. Before motherhood, I was a fifth-grade teacher with a passion for nurturing and supporting others.
After becoming a mom, unresolved childhood trauma surfaced in ways I didn’t immediately recognize, leading to postpartum anxiety and depression. Everything began to change when I started connecting with other moms. Through shared experiences and honest conversations, I realized how powerful—and necessary—community truly is. Moms need moms.
That realization became my calling. I created Mom Dates & Play Dates and Life’s a Mom to provide a safe, supportive space where moms can connect, feel seen, and talk openly about the things we often keep to ourselves.
I’m a proud mom of two beautiful boys and married to an amazing, supportive husband, Ben, who is also a CEO and the founder of Promethium. Everything I build is rooted in connection, honesty, and helping moms feel less alone.
